Bead-type thermocouples offer cost-effectiveness and rapid response times, while probe-type thermocouples are designed for diverse applications across industrial, medical, scientific, and food processing sectors. Connectors for these probes feature either round pins (standard connectors) or flat pins (miniature connectors).
When selecting thermocouples for specific applications, consider the temperature measurement range, required response time, accuracy specifications, and environmental conditions. Proper material combinations and thermocouple shapes should be selected based on these operational parameters.
Thermocouple connectors provide accurate and convenient interconnection for temperature sensing components. These connectors create a continuous chain from the temperature sensor's measuring tip to the host instrument or monitoring system.
Maintaining signal integrity requires that all components in the measurement chain utilize identical thermocouple materials to prevent signal distortion. Thermocouple connector pins are manufactured from the same material as the thermocouple wire—either connecting or compensating material. Connector housings are clearly marked with thermocouple type identification and color coding for easy recognition.
Installation involves opening the connector and securing the thermocouple wire using two fixing screw clips. The miniature thermocouple plug connector then inserts seamlessly into the corresponding miniature thermocouple socket connector for reliable operation.
