1. Introduction:
It also has the common name with Tafa 70t/ monel 60. Monel 400 wire is Monel 400 thermal spray wire with a high-strength composition of nickel and copper alloy. It is specifically designed for spraying in arc spray and flame spray systems. It can produces well-bonded coatings with excellent machineability. It is highly resistant to seawater, atmospheric corrosion, various acids, and alkaline environments.
Typical applications for Monel 400 are protective coatings against corrosive gases, protection against scaling of conventional low alloy steels, and build-up coatings for dimensional restoration.

1 Protection against sulfuric acid environments at temperatures up to 600 °C (1100 °F) for applications such as industrial chemical crystallizers, dryers and vaporizers.
2 Corrosion protection for machine elements such as steam valves, pumps, seal rings and plungers.
3 Resists saltwater corrosion for components such as vaporizers and petrochemical crude oil distillation towers.
4 Protects immersed machine elements from saltwater corrosion, particularly for applications where a surface harder than typical galvanic coatings is required.
