Invar 36, also known as 4J36, is a nickel-iron alloy containing approximately 36% nickel and 64% iron, renowned for its extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). This unique property makes it the ideal material for applications requiring dimensional stability across a range of temperatures.

As wire, Invar 36 is commonly used in hermetic sealing, semiconductor packaging, aerospace structures, and precision instruments where thermal expansion must be tightly controlled.
